Membership committee report

After Katrina, the Bissonet Civic Association began a new chapter at the Annual Membership Meeting in May, 2006.  Two hundred three families joined to help restore our neighborhood.  Much has been accomplshed since that meeting as can by shown by the reports of all the active committees.
   
At the present time, 155 families have been issued membership cards.  The cards entitle our members to a discount of 10% on memberships to the YMCA AND A $2.00 per ticket discount for performances of the JPAS.  Also, each gallon of paint bought at a Helm's Paint store will result in a donation to the BCA.  We hope to add other benefits in the future.
    
Membership dues have been increased to $20.  The membership committee will meet to plan the best way to encourage new and former members to join the Association.

Become a Member!

Members of the Bissonet Civic Association have the opportunity to vote on decisions that impact our neighborhood and to elect Board members. Additionally, you will receive all issues of our newsletter, which is published several times per year.  Membership dues are used to support programs designed to promote the organization's mission.
