Great to see I can look up what goes
on around me.
I used to belong to a community where they have web sites detailing
historical,cultural and architectural
points of interest in the area including the next Clambake and Oyster Fest or Art & Crafts or
Flea market in the GREEN(Commons).
The May Fest at St Philip Neri should be featured, too. Plus the Fish
Fries or Atonement Church carnival rides,Crawfish Boil or Green Market?. It gives outsiders an insight on the community. Local Mardi Gras events showing kids having fun will clear up their misconception that it is violent and risque thus refuse to come visit since they see the media coveraqe on N.O. excesses.
How about pictures of the birds that live in this Bird Sanctuary or the
other creatures that live among them? Count me out volunteering
for this one. Can't tell a Pelican from
a crane.
We would love to know the names
of the beautiful and fragrant flowers
and foliage that grow in the area.
Only found we have a few camellias growing in our yard when we chanced on a picture announcing
a Camellia show at VFW. And there's
many more in the neighborhood.
A little more and you'll probably end
up as a destination for the national
Camellia trail that begins from as far
as California and New York winding down to TX,SC,FL,AL,etc.
A friend from Arizona had a
refreshing shock to see greenery
all around compared to her brown
rocky enclave year round. Went home with one of my plants.
More power to you all! Love what you do.
