By now you have driven down Kawanee and have noticed the work is progressing rapidly on the Beautify Kawanee Project. The sidewalks are in place and the berms to house the Crepe Myrtles are being built.
The plan is to make this area a green space and to mount a BISSONET PLAZA entrance sign with gardens. Jefferson Parish has removed the concrete, fill the area with soil and installed a sidewalk. They have drawn up the design for placement of trees.
We are working in conjunction with Councilman Louis Congemi, Tim Whitmer Chief Administrative Officer to President Aaron Broussard, Randy Nicholson Jefferson Parish Parkway Director and the Jefferson Community Foundation.
